Question: I agreed to put $3,000 down on a car lease, but they failed to ask for my check when I signed all the papers. Do I still have to pay them the money?

Hello Tony,
My wife and I leased a car yesterday. The whole thing was a little confusing. During the deal we agreed to a $3,000 down payment.
When we went into the Business Manager's office he made us sign all the papers, but never took our check. We left with the car.
Not wanting to be a thief or anything, do I have to give him the check now after the fact?
Greg
Answer:
Hi Greg,
Listen Greg, if you made a deal to give them $3,000 down then give them the money.
It was probably an oversight on the Finance Manager's part, and when the deal hits the Sales Manager's desk the Finance Manager is going to be in big trouble.
You can be sure they will be calling you for the money!
Don't wait for that . . . just pay what you agreed to.
All my very best...
