Hi Andrea,
It sounds like the idiot Service Manager could care less about helping you. For him to say he forgot about you is unforgivable! He is afterall, the "Service" Manager!
Andrea, I have washed hundreds of cars using dish soap and water and I've yet to stain a single one. So that crap is just an
excuse.
You should complain to the owner of the dealership and let him know you are not being given the service you deserve as a customer, and demand that they straighten this mess out.
Mitsubishi has some responsibility here as well if in fact they did tell the Body Shop Manager to buff out the discolored parts. You should stay on their butts too until you get satisfaction. Remind them that you bought a new car that is still under warranty.
If they won't give you any satisfaction file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and if necessary with the state Attorney General's office.
Let the dealer and Mitsubishi know that you mean business and that you are not backing down. That you have to go through this in the first place is pure crap! This so called "service department" obviously knows nothing about "service" or customer satisfaction. What a bunch of losers!
You may also want to have the car looked at by a reputable, independent body shop to get a second opinion about the spots in
question. It's very possible that they will buff out and the Service Manager and the Body Shop Manager are just too lazy to take the time, or too stupid to know what to do.
All my very best to you....
Tony Iorio
