They hate it when you don't tell them you have a
trade until after you negotiate a price on the car
you want to buy! (A basic technique of the
"InsiderCarSecrets Brigade!")
You know why? Because you've just backed them
into a corner.
Now, they have to tell you what they are really
going to give you for your car, and you're
probably not going to like it much!
If you would have told them from the beginning,
they would have played numbers games on paper with
you, so that you would have had no idea what they
were really giving you!
They would have tried to get you to believe that they were giving you more for your trade than they were really giving you. This is done by manipulating the sales figures on the buyer's order. It's kind of like playing a numbers "shell game!"
