Just because there are losers like Tom out there doesn't mean that we are all like that.
I sell Fords. I always give ALL cash incentives to the customer as well as a discount off the MSRP.
I do this so the customer will get a deal they will be happy with, and hopefully I can make some more money off them when they're ready to buy their next car!!
Point being . . . we're not all sleazy jerks!!

You're right. Not all car sales people are sleazy jerks. You'll find on my website many instances where I point out that there are indeed good people in the business.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of sleazy types too, and some of the crap they pull on customers is mind blowing. The Finance Office is another Sleaze Hole!
Hardly a day goes by when I don't get an email from someone telling me about some crazy stuff some dealer pulled on them. It ticks me off because this is my business too. I take great exception when some meathead gives all of us a bad name.
You keep up the good work Greg. Take care of your customers, do regular follow-up with them, and you will eventually get to the point where you will be too busy to take very many "ups". You'll be earning the bulk of your income from repeat business and referrals.
The sleazy jerks in the business can't figure that out.
